Unexpected Disaster

Many of you have probably heard about the band of tornado outbreaks that hit Kentucky--specifically Eastern Kentucky where I'm from. I wanted to share some photos and information about this awful tragedy. Before I was able to do so I ran across this blog post: http://robertslove.blogspot.com/2012/03/picking-up-pieces.html#comment-form

The pictures are unreal and the mess that's left behind still amazes me. Salyersville is my husbands hometown so it really hit close to home. I'm from the neighboring town of Paintsville which the tornado also traveled through. Fortunately, our family in both counties were alright. However, many were not and it will more than likely take years to pick up all the pieces that were left behind. If you have time please visit the blog above and find out the ways you can help!

  1. I found your blog through Stephanie's. I also did a quick post to help out. I had never been to your blog before...very pretty. I noticed you have a Math Blog as well. I teach 6th grade math and science, and my husband teaches 4th grade...I'll check out the resources. Hope to see you post more :)
